Genus PARADEJEANIA Brauer & Bergenstamm, 1893
PARADEJEANIA Brauer & Bergenstamm, 1893: 59, 96 (also 1894: 147, 184; first introduced as a subgenus of Jurinia Robineau-Desvoidy, 1830). Type species: Dejeania rutilioides Jaennicke, 1867, by subsequent designation of Coquillett, 1910b: 584.

rutilioides nigrescens Arnaud, 1951.– British Columbia, Oregon, California (S&A, 1965), Utah, Arizona (CNC).
– Paradejeania rutilioides nigrescens Arnaud, 1951: 322. Type data: holotype male (CAS). Type locality: USA, California, San Mateo County, near Skylonda, Skyline Boulevard (on blossoms of Baccharis pilularis).
rutilioides rutilioides (Jaennicke, 1867).– Arizona and Colorado, south to Central America (S&A, 1965), New Mexico, Texas (CNC).
– Dejeania rutilioides Jaennicke, 1867: 394 (also 1868: 86). Type data: holotype female (SMF or lost according to Townsend, 1939a: 92, but not located in SMF by I. Rademacher in 1999, pers. comm.). Type locality: Mexico.
