Genus PARASETIGENA Brauer & Bergenstamm, 1891

DUPONCHELIA Robineau-Desvoidy, 1863a: 531 (junior homonym of Duponchelia Zeller, 1847). Type species: Duponchelia silvestris Robineau-Desvoidy, 1863, by subsequent designation of Townsend, 1916e: 6.
PARASETIGENA Brauer & Bergenstamm, 1891: 35, 97 (also 1892: 339, 401). Type species: Duponchelia silvestris Robineau-Desvoidy, 1863, by fixation of O'Hara & Wood (2004: 153) under Article 70.3.2 of ICZN (1999), misidentified as Chetogena segregata Rondani, 1859, in the fixation by monotypy of Brauer & Bergenstamm (1891).

silvestris (Robineau-Desvoidy, 1863).– Palearctic; introduced and established in eastern North America (S&A, 1965; Richter & Wood, 1995), including Ontario, Québec, New York (CNC), West Virginia, Virginia (WVU).
– Duponchelia silvestris Robineau-Desvoidy, 1863a: 531 (also subsequently spelled sylvestris, unjustified emendation). Type data: lectotype male (MNHN or lost according to Townsend, 1940: 143), by fixation of Townsend, 1940: 143 (mention of "Ht male" is regarded as a lectotype fixation). Type locality: France, Saint Sauveur.
