SMIDTIA Robineau-Desvoidy, 1830: 183. Type species: Smidtia vernalis Robineau-Desvoidy, 1830 (= Tachina conspersa Meigen, 1824), by subsequent designation of Desmarest, 1848: 649 (see Evenhuis & Thompson, 1990: 238) [Palearctic].
TIMAVIA Robineau-Desvoidy, 1863a: 257. Type species: Smidtia flavipalpis Robineau-Desvoidy, 1848 (= Tachina amoena Meigen, 1824), by original designation [Palearctic].
OMOTOMA Lioy, 1864: 1338 (also subsequently spelled Homotoma, unjustified emendation). Type species: Tachina amoena Meigen, 1824, by subsequent designation of Townsend, 1916e: 8 [Palearctic].
NEMOSTURMIA Townsend, 1926: 34. Type species: Nemosturmia pilosa Townsend, 1926 (= Winthemia fumiferanae Tothill, 1912), by original designation.

fumiferanae (Tothill, 1912).– British Columbia to Newfoundland, south to Arizona and Georgia (S&A, 1965), Yukon, Northwest Territories (CNC).
– Winthemia fumiferanae Tothill, 1912: 2. Type data: holotype female (CNC). Type locality: Canada, British Columbia, Duncan. Type host: Choristoneura fumiferana (Clemens) [published as Tortrix fumiferana], Tortricidae.
– Nemosturmia pilosa Townsend, 1926: 35. Type data: holotype female (USNM). Type locality: USA, New Hampshire, Franconia.
