Type data: syntypes, 2 specimens of unknown sex (originally in USNM but probably lost according to Beneway, 1963: 637) (mention by Townsend, 1941: 224, of "Ht female" is not regarded as a lectotype fixation because the original 2 syntypes are probably lost and there is no evidence that 1 of them was identifiable as Townsend's "Ht female"). Type locality: unknown (Centerville, Florida according to Townsend, 1941: 224). Type host: Alabama argillacea (Hübner) [published as Aletia argillacea], Noctuidae.
