Genus Trafoia Brauer & Bergenstamm, 1893

TRAFOIA Brauer & Bergenstamm, 1893: 54 (also 1894: 142). Type species: Trafoia monticola Brauer & Bergenstamm, 1893, by monotypy [Palearctic].
TENUIROSTRA Ringdahl, 1933: 17. Type species: Lypha arctica Sack, 1923, by monotypy.


arctica (Sack, 1923).– Palearctic, Nunavut (north Ellesmere Island, Akpatok Island in Ungava Bay), Greenland (S&A, 1965), Alaska, Yukon, Northwest Territories (CNC).
– Lypha arctica Sack, 1923: 7. Type data: syntypes, 1 male and 1 female (ZMUO). Type localities: northern Russia, island of Novaya Zemlya, Maschigin Fjord (now Guba Mashigina) and Pankratjeff Halbinsel (now Palustrov Pankratyeva).


rufipalpis (Bigot, 1889).– Colorado, New Mexico, Mexico, El Salvador (S&A, 1965).
– Exorista rufipalpis Bigot, 1889: 256. Type data: holotype female [not male as published] (BMNH). Type locality: Mexico.
