Ridgetown Campus

Established in 1922 as a demonstration and research farm to address issues in agricultural production in southwestern Ontario, Ridgetown Campus now provides modern classroom and recreational facilities within a small-town environment. The campus is located in Ridgetown, Ontario, just east of Chatham and approximately one hour west of London. The campus hosts approximately 500 diploma and certificate students.

Education

The campus offers Associate Diploma programs in Agriculture, Horticulture, Environmental Management and Veterinary Technology, as well as certificate programs in Veterinary Medical Office Administration and Landscape Management. Ridgetown's Veterinary Technology program is accredited by both the Canadian Veterinary Medical Association (CVMA) and the American Veterinary Medical Association (AVMA). In Fall 2006, the campus added degree studies, delivering the first two years of study for students enrolled in the Environmental Management major of the Bachelor of Bio-Resource Management program. The campus also provides a range of continuing education and professional development opportunities for Ontario's agri-food industry.

Research

Ridgetown's applied research programs are conducted on-site, at satellite stations in Cedar Springs and Centralia, and on more than 75 farms in southwestern Ontario. The campus offers research expertise in:
