Origin and Breeding

OAC Redstar is an early to mid season maturity dark red kidney bean developed by the University of Guelph from the conical cross: Montcalm/AC Litekid//Cran 09/Foxfire///Chinook/AC Darkid//Generatif/OAC 90-C1. OAC Redstar is a DRK variety with good yield potential, superior seed size and acceptable cooking quality.
