Luis Avila Bolivar completed his MSc in plant agriculture and started as a PhD student in January 2012. His research interests are plant genetics and bioinformatics and is currently investigating cold tolerance in maize.
Jan Brazolot is a technician within the Lukens lab and Pauls lab. She is working on marker-assisted selection in corn.

Gregory Downs is a PhD candidate who is using coexpression networks to study the genome-wide regulation of gene expression using maize as a model system.
Megan House is a PhD candidate using genome-wide rice eQTL data to identify candidate genes, and biological pathways, that have been subject to selection through breeding.
Ann Meyer is pursuing a PhD investigating transcriptional allelic imbalances and gene expression regulation in well watered and water stress conditions. She is focusing on roots.
Bianca Movahed is pursuing a PhD investigating the effect of low R:FR light signals reflected from neighboring weeds on gene expression in maize.
Wisam Obeidat
Tina Wambach is pursuing a PhD investigating the genetic and transcriptome variation among maize inbred lines to water stress and the heritability of these genotypic differences. Her focus is on root physiology and development.
Shuhua Zhan is now a postdoctoral research associate and is investigating the complexity of regulatory networks in plants (Arabidopsis and maize) by integrating multiple types of molecular data.

Where are they now?
Cecilia Arias worked as a postdoctoral researcher characterizing genetic variation among maize inbred lines. She is currently a research scientist at INRA in France.

Robert Bruce completed his MSc in 2012. He is currently a PhD student at Guelph with Dr. Istvan Rajcan.
Chevonne Carlow completed her MSc in 2011 and is persuing a PhD with Dr. Annette Nassuth.
Raja Khanal completed his PhD in 2012. He is now a research scientist with Agriculture and Agri-Food Canada.
Siobhan Moore completed her MSc in 2011. She is now a researcher for Pioneer HiBred outside Montreal.
Suresh Naik completed his PostDoc in 2008. He is a research scientist at the Biodiversity Institute of Ontario.
Xiaoguang Wu completed his MSc in 2010. He is currently working as a researcher for Agriculture Canada.
Shuhua Zhan completed his PhD in 2012 with an NSERC research fellowship. His is now a postdoctoral fellow in the lab.
