Welcome (Masters and Doctoral Students)
The Graduate Program in Political Science offers a dynamic and engaging environment for Masters and Doctoral study.
The department takes pride in its professor to student ratio, meaning that students benefit from smaller classes. Every year, the department accepts approximatly 12 to 15 students in the MA program, and 3-4 students into the PhD program, providing guaranteed funding for both cohorts.
The department has an excellent record for placing its students in competitive Doctoral programs , including the University of Toronto, the University of British Columbia and the Norman Paterson School of Internations Affairs, as well as federal Parliamentrary and Ontario Legislative Internship programs in the volunteer sector.
Collaborative International Development Studies (IDS) Specialization
Students can choose to combine their MA or PhD in Political Science with an IDS specialization. Completion of the IDS specialization adds the designation "International Development Studies" to your degree. Visit the IDS website http://www.ids.uoguelph.ca/ for more information or e-mail email@example.com.
