2006 President's Exemplary Staff Award Winners

Richard Gorrie
As manager of courseware support services in Teaching Support Services Richard was nominated for displaying integrity, leadership, innovation and dedication and for developing WebCT from four course offerings in 1999 to more than 1,000 current options.  Richard is described by his nominators as extraordinary and his support to course instructors as outstanding.

Greg Humphreys
As a technician and laboratory instructor in the Department of Integrative Biology, Greg is acknowledged by his nominators for excellence in teaching courses in invertebrate zoology and his outstanding commitment to his students.  Alumni supporters describe Greg as a mentor who made significant contributions to setting them on the path to their current success.

Danny Martin
This team of custodial services staff provide service to the Animal and Poultry Science building.  All of the nominators noted the cheerful good nature of this trio as well as their proactive approach to their duties.  Initiating special cleaning and maintenance projects, contributing to the safety and comfort of the teaching and research facilities, and their on-going desire to improve and enhance their activities for the benefit of the department.

Susan Morrison
As executive officer for the College of Arts, Susan was nominated for her unwavering commitment to the College of Arts, her willingness to share her knowledge and wisdom and for years of putting others before herself.  She is considered by many as the "heart and soul" of the College of Arts.

Laurie Schnarr
As assistant director of Student Life and Counselling Services, Laurie was nominated for displaying strong leadership skills and for creating an interesting and engaging work environment.  In the 22 years since she began working on campus she has created a legacy of friends, fond memories and successful programs.
