Lincoln Alexander Chancellor’s Scholarships
These entrance awards were established in honour of Lincoln Alexander, Chancellor Emeritus of the University of Guelph and former Lieutenant Governor of Ontario, on his 80th birthday. They are intended to enhance student diversity and recognise students of academic distinction who have made significant contributions to their schools and their communities. Applicants must be Aboriginal; a person with a disability; or a member of a racial minority. These awards are one of the most prestigious entrance awards at the University of Guelph valued at $26,000 over four years and include the opportunity for a summer research assistantship after the first year of study (approximately $6,000 stipend).

Pamela Wallin Chancellor's Scholarships
Established in 2009 in honour of Pamela Wallin, Chancellor of the University of Guelph, these scholarships are considered one of the most prestigious entrance awards at the University of Guelph. They are valued at $26,000 over four years and include the opportunity for a summer research assistantship after the first year of study (approximately $6,000 stipend). Selection is made on demonstrated superior leadership ability and potential as evidenced through positions held, extra-curricular activities, involvements in high school and communities and reference support. Students must have taken a leadership role in activities that demonstrate an interest in international relations and development and who indicate an ongoing desire to gain a broader subject knowledge through course work and/or engagement in the discipline and demonstrated the potential to become leaders in society.

President’s Scholarships
The President’s Scholarships are some of the most prestigious entrance awards at the University of Guelph. These awards, valued at $26,000 over four years include the opportunity for a summer research assistantship after the first year of study (approximately $6,000 stipend), recognize students of academic distinction who have made significant contributions to their schools and their communities. The President’s Scholarship endowment fund is supported by numerous donors, including alumni, friends, faculty and staff, who have contributed more than $1.4 million since the program was established in 1988.
