Project SOY Plus Opens Registration in 25th Year

Project SOY broadened in scope for the 2019-2020 competiton year and became Project SOY Plus (where the SOY acronym represents Sustainable Opportunities for You). The annual contest that originally harnessed students' creative power to develop new products and marketing strategies for soybeans has now evolved to include other plant-based species.

The program, celebrating it's 25th year, is open to University of Guelph and Ridgetown Campus students at the diploma, undergraduate and graduate levels. Students across a wide range of disciplines are encouraged to explore new plant-based applications in an environment that promotes experiential learning.

Project SOY Plus submissions will be judged by University of Guelph stakeholders at a finale event for the opportunity to win cash prizes.

Once the program concludes, students will be encouraged to further enhance and develop their plant-based innovations with on-campus innovation centre resources for commercialization and market potential.
