Awarded annually to an outstanding student in each of the five areas of emphasis in the International Development major. These prizes are awarded on the basis of academic excellence and demonstrated service to the community. Apply by letter (no more than two pages), outlining university and off-campus community service activities in Canada and abroad, to the attention of the "GIDS Awards Committee". Submit applications electronically by April 1st to the GIDS Awards Committee idadvisor@uoguelph.ca.
Students graduating in June, or who have graduated in the previous fall or winter convocations from the honours Bachelor of Arts program majoring in International Development Studies, with a minimum cumulative average of 80% in the previous two years of study.
