OSAP Overpayments
An OSAP overpayment is the result of being in receipt of more OSAP funding than you are eligible to receive. This could be a result of your changing your courseload or not reporting all your income during the study period including GRAs, GTAs etc. The amount of overpayment may be deducted from future OSAP funding.
You will be sent a notice from the Ministry of Training, Colleges and Universities outlining the reason(s) for the overpayment and the steps that you must take to repay the overpayment. In some cases, you may not be eligible for further financial assistance.
To repay the overpayment, you should contact the National Student Loan Service Centre at 1-888-815-4514 for repayment instructions and to request the receipt of payment be faxed to Student Financial Services at 519-823-9421.
