Introduction

The Annual Report on Research Funds Awarded, 2009-10, summarizes all research projects with start dates falling in the University of Guelph’s fiscal year May 1, 2009 through April 30, 2010. For ongoing projects, the report captures project installments with start dates in the same period.The figures represent award or installment values, without reference to when research revenues or funds were actually received.

The total value of research funds awarded for 2009-10 from external sponsors is close to $158M.
