Statement
on Animal Welfare
The University of Guelph is thoroughly committed to the care and
well-being of all animals in its research and teaching programmes. The University
strongly endorses and adheres to the principles espoused by the Canadian Council
on Animal Care (CCAC) pertaining to the well-being of animals (footnote 1). The
Animal Care Committee establishes, as part of its mandate, procedures for dealing
with concerns expressed by any individual about the care and treatment of animals
at the University of Guelph.
