The FedDev Applied Research Commercialization (ARC) Program is being extended

The first round funding for this program in Yr 2010 resulted in 14 projects between U of G researchers and Ontario based Small & Medium Enterprises (SME)

The BDO needs your help to identify potential projects at Guelph that may be eligible to participate in the second round of funding

Details and criteria as available from FedDev to date are:

  1. Project is in partnership with Ontario-based SME (defined as a company with less than 1000 emplyees; same as in the previous round)

  2. Project can be initiated by mid-March 2012 and MUST finish by 30 March 2013

  3. The SME partner cannot have participated in FedDev ARC program in the first round, with Guelph or any other University/College

  4. FedDev funding max $100K

  5. The SME partner will contribute (cash and/or in-kind) 50% of the project cost up to $100K max)

  6. No projects requiring an Environmental assessment will be accepted

  7. Contract negotiation requirements will apply before project initiation

2.  BDO would like to hear from you about anypotential projects/SME partners which you are currently exploring,and may satisfy the basic criteria stated above.  We’ll be pleased to follow up with you and to gather input from SME partners.

Please be advised that the projects will be selected by a committee on a competitive basis.

A formal call for projects will be sent once the funding agreement between the UofG and FedDev has been secured.
