Genome Canada - Request for applications (RFA) **Information webinar June 26th
Genome Canada has just released a Request for Applications (RFA) for their 2012 Bioinformatics & Computational Biology Competition. In this competition a total of $6.25M in funding is available to support two types of projects:
Small-Scale Innovative Projects (SIPs)
- $2.25M funding available
- $125k-$250k from Genome Canada / CIHR per project
- up to 2 years duration
- no co-funding required
Large-Scale Applied Projects (LAPs)
- $4M funding available
- $250k-$500k from Genome Canada / CIHR per project
- up to 3 years duration
- 1:1 co-funding required
The Ontario Genomics Institute (OGI) will be holding information sessions at University of Waterloo, University of Toronto, University of Ottawa and Toronto Medical Discovery Tower/MaRS in the next two weeks and is also holding the following webinar for those interested in learning more about this competition:

Registration Forms for this competition are due at OGI on July 20, 2012 -- internal deadline for submission to our Office of Research is Friday, July 13.
Full Applications are due at OGI on September 17, 2012, with an internal deadline of Tuesday, September 4, 2012.
