                   10.  OWNERSHIP OF ITEMS PURCHASED FROM
                        RESEARCH GRANTS AND CONTRACTS
 
10.1  The University of Guelph policy regarding any items (equipment, books,
      etc.) which are purchased with funds from a research grant or contract
      administered by the University is that the ownership of such items vests
      in the University.
 
10.2  The exception to this policy occurs if the sponsor's condition of award
      specify that the ownership of certain items purchased with the funds
      supplied by the sponsor will remain with the sponsor.
