The mandate of the Senate Honours and Awards Committee is to recognize extraordinary achievement in the local, national and international community and to honour those individuals whose accomplishments demonstrate a standard of excellence and leadership that will inspire graduates of the University. The Committee receives and reviews nominations for the following honourary awards within the purview of Senate. - Governor General Medals (graduate and undergraduate awards)
