The Research Board develops policies and procedures for matters such as: approval of applications for research grants and contracts from external agencies, patents and copyrights, and research coordination. The Research Board also regularly reviews the total research program of the University and makes recommendations regarding the organization of research areas, distribution of grants and uncommitted research funds, and performs other tasks as outlined in the Research Board bylaws.
