2013 Careers and Research in Ecology & Evolution: A Weekend Workshop For Undergraduates
Careers and Research in Ecology & Evolution: A Weekend Workshop For Undergraduates
Are you interested in pursuing a career in ecology and/or evolutionary biology? U of T’s Department of Ecology & Evolutionary Biology will be holding a weekend workshop for outstanding and enthusiastic
undergraduates during which students will:
- learn about some of the leading current research in ecology and evolution - receive advice on how to succeed in academic and non-academic career routes related to these fields.
During the workshop, students will interact with professors, graduate students and practitioners from outside of academia (e.g., people working in conservation biology, museums, government agencies, and science writing). This will provide an excellent opportunity to see and hear what scientists do on a daily basis and how they got to where they are today. Of course, half the fun will be meeting and interacting with other top undergrads in ecology and evolution.
This is the only Canadian workshop for undergraduates interested in ecology and evolution featuring some of Canada’s best scientists in the field.
Undergraduates from any university are encouraged to apply. To learn more about the workshop, please visit our website at:http://www.eeb.utoronto.ca/news-events/CREE.htm
Apply this spring for the 2013 workshop (to be held in the fall).
