This course provides a thorough introduction to the relationship between media and the laws of Canada, beginning with the origin and development of Media Law. An understanding of media/communications law and its forms and applications is necessary to ensure the success of any endeavour in media/communications, especially with the ongoing and rapid development of electronic technology. Identification of legal issues is emphasized.
