Jennie Hissa

Jennie Hissa is a fourth-year undergraduate student majoring in English in the School of English and Theatre Studies. In addition to being a full-time student, Jennie is also a Varsity and nationally ranked competitive cross-country skier. Jennie has represented the University of Guelph, her hometown of Kenora, Ontario, and the Cross-Country Ski Association of Manitoba at the OUA Championships, the CCUNC at the Canadian Eastern/Western/National Championships, and, in 2011, at the Canada Winter Games. 

Jennie HissaJennie HissaFor the past two summers she has worked as an Undergraduate Research Assistant on the Canadian Adaptations of Shakespeare Project (CASP), where she has played a key role in the management of CASP files, updates to the online database and hard-copy archives, exploring new leads, as well as research and coding for the recently released Romeo+Juliet App. Now in the final year of her undergraduate degree, Jennie continues to contribute to the project throughout the semester and, upon graduating, hopes to inspire others in the field of Shakespeare, Canadian literature, and English literature, in general, as she pursues future paths in creative writing and adult education.
