Special Grants & Speakers' Fund

The Special Grants Fund was established to provide year round funding opportunities for special projects and initiatives that enhance the student experience and enrich the University Community. This fund supports recognized student groups, clubs, and registered students to run activities, programs or events which enrich the University Community. The Speakers' Fund supports groups that would normally not have enough funds to host high profile speakers on campus.

Student Life Enhancement Fund (SLEF)

Provides grants to academic departments, administrative units, and recognized student groups for new projects or the enhancement of existing services to improve student life. Funding is for the current school year, fall to summer, and must be submitted prior to application deadline. The majority of funding will be granted for one year projects, but multi-year applications, up to a maximum of three years, may be considered, subject to annual review and approval.

Central Students Association (CSA)

As an undergraduate student if you are planning an event, conference, or are participating in an exciting initiative, the Central Students Association has the ability to support you both financially and in kind. Please fill out the PDR request form (Found on www.csaonline.ca) and submit it to the CSA Communications Commissioner, or the front office manager to be considered. Questions can be addressed to the Communications Commissioner at csatalk@uoguelph.ca

Student Volunteer Grant

Student Volunteer Connections (SVC) offers a grant for volunteers. This grant serves as a catalyst for some serious social action and opportunities to get involved without the stress of the finances. Whether you are a group looking to run a local awareness campaign, or a volunteer enthusiast planning to participate in community building miles away, this grant can help.

Gordon Nixon Leadership Award

The Gordon Nixon Leadership Award was established by the Annual Fund (formerly the Alma Mater Fund) in recognition of Gordon Nixon (OAC '37) and his outstanding contributions in support of student life, alumni activities, and fundraising at the University of Guelph. Annual grant funding of up to $10, 000 is available to one or more campus-based student organizations. Funds are provided through donations to the Annual Fund.
