Online Event RegistrationUsing Google Earth for Research Google Earth is a virtual mapping program that many have access to, yet they are only familiar with a fraction of the available features. Most use the layers available within the program and aren't aware of the vast array of usability possibilities. This workshop will demonstrate many innovative features in Google Earth that can be used for mapping purposes at academic institutions. The hands-on component will teach participants how to use the layers in Google Earth for research purposes; how to connect to a web map service to add external data from the internet; how to add personal geospatial data; and how to share data with others over the web.
