The College of Physical and Engineering Science welcomes electrical and computer engineer Anthony Vannelli as its new dean and focusses on the work of physics professor Carl Svensson at Canada’s national laboratory for nuclear and particle physics. The newsletter also presents the research of engineering professor Michele Oliver, chemistry Paul Rowntree and Fei Song, Computing and Information Science.

CSAHS Bulletin
Psychology professor Serge Desmarais is he newly appointed associate dean of research for the College of Social and Applied Human Sciences, signalling a desire to explore new research opportunities for CSAHS faculty and graduate students. The newsletter introduces a new alumni profile as a regular feature and presents comments from a few of the many alumni who were Harshman scholarship recipients.
