Director's Welcome

to Teaching Support Services (TSS). TSS is a multi-faceted support department
that is committed to enhancing the quality of teaching and learning on campus.
Our structure is unique in that we bring together, in one department, support
for three key areas:
- Classroom Technical Support (CTS) (e.g.,
classroom design and technology);
- Learning Technologies and Courseware Innovation
(e.g., Desire2Learn, PowerPoint, learning objects); and
- Educational Development (e.g., curriculum/course
design, instructional practice).
Whether you have a question about how to use a particular piece of classroom
technology, how to form on-line discussion groups, how to design an effective
assessment tool, or how to create an effective teaching dossier, we are here
to help.
Located in Day Hall, at the heart of campus, we offer a well-stocked Teaching
Resource Centre, videoconference facility, and learning technology lab. Feel
free to drop by or make an appointment. TSS staff are well recognized across
campus and throughout Canada for their expertise, creativity, humour, and
practical approach for dealing with teaching and learning challenges. If you're
