Learning Technology and Courseware innovation

The mandate of the Learning Technology & Courseware Innovation group is to

• support the effective use of technology for teaching and learning, and
• foster the development of innovative and effective learning environments.

LTCi works primarily with on-campus courses, supporting courseware development used to complement face-to-face teaching and enhance the learning experience of students. We support the use of technology for teaching and learning by providing:

• tools such as Desire2Learn, web templates and workstations with equipment and software
• training in technology such as Desire2Learn, web, PowerPoint, multimedia
• expertise in courseware design, digital media, and web technology
• consultation on the effective integration of technology in teaching inside and outside a classroom
• providing leadership and fostering innovation by conducting research on best practices, highlighting emerging technology, organizing events to share ideas and strategies.
