Accessibility Initiatives
Teaching Support Services is working with other departments
at the University to provide support and guidance around accessibility issues
on campus. Staff from TSS are
active members of the Accessibility for Persons with Disabilities Advisory
Committee (APDAC).

Conference, Presentations and Workshops
Aiming for Accessibility: Creating Barrier-Free Information
and Communication - this
yearly, one-day conference aims to raise awareness of information and
communication accessibility issues and provide practical strategies and
techniques for addressing them. Staff from TSS are involved as members of the Conference Planning
Committee members and presenters.
Pre-flight - a week-long, jam-packed summer preparation program geared to give students
with disabilities the skills and information they need to be successful at
university. Staff from TSS are
involved as presenters.
TSS also provides consultation on accessibility for faculty.
