I am pleased to inform you that Fisheries and
Oceans Canada recently launched a new, subject-based aquaculture website.
The new site will provide visitors with a national, 'one-window' information
source for aquaculture in DFO. You are welcome to visit the site at: www.dfo-mpo.gc.ca/aquaculture.
Canadians have told us that they want to have
access to balanced, scientifically-based information so they can make informed
opinions about aquaculture. This website provides straight-forward answers
to straight-forward questions. The site will assist us to communicate more
effectively. If you have any questions or comments about the site, please
feel free to send an email or give me a call.
Thank you to everyone who contributed to the development
of the website, either offering strategic advice or taking it for a test-drive
before the launch. It was truly a collaborative and horizontal effort.
