Job Opening - Research Technician, CRI at UNB Position

Title: Research Technician

Location: Canadian Rivers Institute, University of New Brunswick, Fredericton, NB, Canada

Responsibilities: The successful applicant will help supervise graduate students, conduct independent research, participate in and help supervise summer field research activities in Manitoba, Canada, give occasional lectures to undergraduate students, and help with administrative duties associated with the lab.

Qualifications: M.Sc. in fish biology or ecology. Preference will be given to applicants that have field skills and publications in the primary literature. Supervisory and teaching experience are assets, as are any special skills ( e.g. GIS training, fish and/or invertebrate identification, bioassays etc). Regular (and extended) travel between New Brunswick and Manitoba is a requirement.

Salary: $38,000 to $42,000/yr to start plus benefits depending on experience. Contract will be renewed yearly (with pay increases) based on satisfactory performance and continued availability of funding.
