Prospective Graduate Students and Postdocs

If you are interested in joining my lab in the Department of Integrative Biology at the University of Guelph as a graduate student or postdoc please read through the descriptions of our ongoing research and some of our recent publications. If these questions and approaches interest you, then please send me an e-mail with a statement of the kinds of questions that you would be interested in pursuing and a brief overview of your previous academic and research experiences. This is very important as it will give me a sense of how your skills and interests might fit in with the rest of the lab. Please also include a copy of your CV and a rough idea of the courses that you have taken and your grades (an unofficial transcript would be great).

Funding

If I have grant money available to cover the stipend of a graduate student or post doc, I will specifically advertise the positions on this page. Otherwise, it is my expectation that applicants will secure their own stipend support through scholarships and fellowships. I have provided links to a variety of potential funding sources below. Research funding will come from my existing grants so it is important that our research interests are compatible.

Funding for Canadian Students and Postdocs

UG Office of Graduate Studies - External Awards
