Applied Analysis has always been the focus of much research interest and activity in the Department of Mathematics & Statistics at the University of Guelph. Broadly speaking, Applied Analysis deals with the development of mathematics driven by the needs of an application problem or area.
The Applied Analysis Research Group provides an environment for faculty members, visitors, and students to share and discuss the mathematics they work on, from both the theoretical and practical/implementation-based perspectives.
The group organizes a seminar series that features both internal and external speakers.
