Devotional Gatherings
Bahá'ís come together, inviting friends and neighbors to attend small prayer sessions for the purpose of exploring the Sacred Word. These devotional gatherings are open to all and are intended to embrace that attitude of prayer, and practice of devotion, that is universal to all religions. The Sacred Books of all religions are honoured and the people of all Faiths are welcome. |
| |
Fireside Socials
Firesides provide an opportunity to explore, in a casual setting, the Bahá'í Writings on a particular theme. They are often held on campus or in Bahá'í homes. A theme of interest is presented and everyone is invited to share their thoughts and views. Discussion is always quite entertaining and thought provoking! |
| |
Holy Day Events
The Bahá'í Community gathers throughout the year to celebrate and commemorate milestones in the history of our Faith. Each event reflects the spirit of the occasion, and is usually complimented with artistic presentations, music, devotionals, children's activities, and refreshments. |
| |
Lecture Series
The A.B.S. schedules lectures throughout the year on themes and issues affecting our local and global community. Contact the A.B.S. and ask for our lecture schedule for this semester. |
| |
Study Circles
Bahá'ís get together in small groups and use discussion and practical exercises to systematically study those spiritual and moral principles that can be directly applied to transforming their lives and expanding their commitment to personal and collective change. |
| |
Summer Service Projects
Service within local communities is part of the Bahá'í commitment to faith in action. Many students, over the course of the summer, offer their services overseas while others share their talents in local education programmes, dance workshops, environmental initiatives, artistic presentations, and a variety of other service projects. Ask how you can get involved! |
