HOW TO FIND NATIVE SEED & PLANT MATERIAL

1. Contact us and inquire about the NANPS seed exchange program (many local seed from the Waterloo and adjacent areas) and our annual native plant sales.

2. Purchase them from native plant growers. Try to select growers who guarantee that their materials have not been collected from natural areas unless grown from judiciously collected seed (or other propagules).  The Society for Ecological Restoration, Ontario Chapter puts out an annual directory listing such growers; visit their site at http://www.serontario.org.

3. Ask for seed, cuttings or seedlings from a friend or neighbour with an attractive wildflower garden. Most wildflower enthusiasts will be more than happy to share !!
