Emma married Edward LUDWIG. Edward was born 1878. He died 1950 and was buried in Woodland Cemetery Kitchener.

Edward, a brother of Mary Ludwig who married William Joseph Fischer (this branch). Edward worked for the Kaufman Rubber Company of Kitchener.

This family was noted for keeping an open door and having lots of company. After they raised their own children, they took in the motherless Estelle, already mentioned, who says, "They all treated me like one of the family." Emma's sister Marian lived with them for many years. And in the bad years of the Thirties, Emma often fed transients who came to the door. Some called their house the Fischer Hotel.
