Worked in Detroit first. Farmed in Chepstow. Road Superintendant for Greenock Twp. for thirty - four years. Retired in Hanover.

Edward married Mary Schmidt on 1928. Mary was born 5 May 1904. Daughter of John Schmidt and Mary Lang of Chepstow.

134. Wilhelmina Elizabeth FISCHER (George B. , William W. , Philip ) was born 23 Dec 1892 and was christened 8 Jan 1893 in Riversdale. She died 29 Jan 1958 in Kitchener.

Wilhelmina married William (Bill) SCHNURR. William was born 1887. He died 1974 and was buried in Woodland Cemetery (near Andrew Fischer Monument) Kitchener.

Bill was an auto mechanic working for Gasho Motors in Kitchener and then opened his own repair shop near the corner of King and Ottawa st. Kitchener. Son of Jacob Schnurr

139. John Anthony FISCHER (George B. , William W. , Philip ) was born 23 Aug 1908 in Kitchener. He died 18 Oct 1966 in Stratford.

John (Jack) Fischer enlisted in the Canadian Army in 1929, originally with the Royal Canadian Regiment, later with the Perth Regiment on the administrative staff. Served overseas in W.W.II, retired from the Army in Sept. 1949 in Stratford.

"Every inch a soldier, and well earned his long service and good conduct medal," says Emily, now that it's safe to say so. Earlier she and daughter reserved the right to hint that maybe the Army didn't look too sharply and see everything.

He became Presbyterian for some years, then reverted back at the end. He donated his body to science at the University of Western Ontario. Cremated. Probably a marker in the University section of Woodland Cemetery, London.

John married Emily LITTLE.

140. Charles WAECHTER (Mary FISCHER , William W. , Philip ) was born 22 Jul 1887 in Formosa. He died 18 Mar 1953 in Kitchener from Ulcers.

Charles married Philomena BRUDER. Philomena was born 28 Nov 1891. She died 16 May 1971.

Minnies parents were Jacob Bruder II and Catherine Schnurr.

	467	F	v	Dorothy WAECHTER. Dorothy has been active at the Twin Oaks extended care nuring home in Maryhill. She often visited with Rose Fischer who spent her last years at the nursing home.
				Dorothy married Alfred ZINGER. Past Grand Knight of K. of C. He received gold ring in 1980 which was awarded for exceptional leadership. They have four adopted children.

143. Ottilia WAECHTER (Mary FISCHER , William W. , Philip ) was born 3 Jan 1893 in Formosa.

(Tillie) Married Jacob Fischer Sept. 8, 1915 at Formosa. They celebrated their Golden Wedding in 1965.

Tillie died May 11, 1969 after suffering a severe stroke in 1966 which paralyzed her left side. She was well cared for by Jacob and three daughters, a R.N. and another, R.N.A. OttiIia had taken care of her father in his last years. She played piano in the Waechter orchestra with father and brother Charles. Monument in Mildmay Cemetery.

Ottilia's husband Jacob FISCHER was born 7 Feb 1890.

Jacob farmed Lot 13 across the road from the Michael Fischer homestead. Jacob was Reeve of Carrick Twp. 1939-1949. Jacob J. was a son of John M. Fischer (1858-1919) and grandson of Michael Fischer ~ 1822, who emigrated to Pittsburgh when he was seventeen. Though not known to be related to our Fischers, it's possible that there might be a relationship in European generations, since Michael emigrated from Baden as our ancestor Philip did.

Sister Rita Paul of the Sisters of St. Joseph entered the convent in August 1935 and adopted the religious name of her mother's Aunt Catherine Fischer, (a daughter of William W. Fischer (Branch #3)) She graduated as nurse in 1943 and served as R. N. at St. Joseph's Hospital, Hamilton, St. Mary's, Kitchener. at Fort St. James B.C. and St. Joseph's, Guelph. Parish work in Milton and now the same in Hamilton.

				Irene married James FRASER. James was born 8 Mar 1918. A pipefitter, lives in Kitchener. They have five children.

				Doris married Alfred O'BRIEN. Alfred was born in St. John, New Brunswick. He died 6 Feb 1966 in Niagara Falls.

Francis married Bertha KRUMPELT.

Bertha Krumpelt of Kitchener, where she resides. Her mother kept boarders. After the War, Frank, with a job at Burns, came looking for boarding place. Frank soon left Burns and worked for 37-38 years at J.M. Schneider's.

George married Olive HESCH. Olive was born 23 Apr 1905.

She lives in Kitchener now. She's a sister of Roy Hesch who married a Olive Dietrich, (Daughter of Magdalena Fischer and John H. Dietrich). Their parents' Lawrence Hesch, 1876-1952 Mary Ann Ernewein 1867-1946 of Walkerton

155. Agnes LANG (Anne FISCHER , William W. , Philip ) was born 3 Jan 1908.

Has some German prayer books that belonged to her grandmother Ottilia.

Agnes married Frank MULLIN.

Frank Mullin of Chepstow, son of Thomas Mullin and Laura Dietrich. The Mullins were skilled carpenters. Thomas Mullin took the contract for building the new Chepstow church in 1903-4. His brother, John, was persuaded to take the contract for building the new church at Gagetown, Michigan. Some of the young Lang men worked on that structure.

Frank owned and operated the Chepstow grist mill as his father had previously. Afterwards Frank left the mill to his brother, Jim, to operate while he took over the implement dealership from the retiring Joseph Schutofaki. Son-in-law Joseph Benninger now operates the implement business. Frank and Agnes handle the roofing and cement sales business.
