Interests: In a broad context, I want to understand the temporal dynamics and functional variation of rhizosphere microbial communities so they can be manipulated and managed for use in sustainable agriculture and landscape restoration. Presently, I am focusing my research on understanding factors controlling the community identity of soil microbes, both arbuscular mycorrhizal fungi and soil bacteria.
