The purpose of the Environmental Governance Society is to create and maintain a sense of community among environmental governance students and to provide a forum where students in the major can discuss program development and concerns. Like many other academic student clubs, we organize various fun and social events around campus. The society happily welcomes the opportunity to collaborate with other student groups, organizations and faculties to promote the ideals of sustainability and good governance!

The constitution enables the society's executive council to function as the governing body that represents the opinions and ultimately the best interests of our constituents. It is an important document outlining the functions of the society as well as the roles and responsibilities of the executive members. For an up to date version of our constitution, please check the notes section on our facebook page or contact us at egovsoc[at]uoguelph.ca.

The Environmental Governance Society is always welcome to open up opportunities for student involvement as student engagement is an important aspect of building a strong and lasting community of the society. As an accredited student organization under the College of Social and Applied Human Sciences Student Alliance, we are empowered to organize both academic and social events that will especially benefit and enrich the student life experiences of those enrolled the Environmental Governance program. Connect with us via our facebook group and facebook page to engage in discussions relevant to environmental governance around the world and to stay up to date with the latest updates on events and involvement opportunities!
