Sunday, January 31Places of Worship Tour9am - 5pm To kick off this year's Faith Week at U of G, we are going to take you on an adventure ! Join us for an exploration of faith to the places in which various faith communities gather. Have you ever wondered what its like to be inside a Hindu temple, a Mosque or a Church? Curious about what kind of rituals they perform, services they offer and what Hinduism, Unitarianism and Islam are all about? Come on out as we visit the Guelph Unitarian Congregation for their morning service followed by a lunch. After that we will head to Toronto to tour the magnificent BAPS Shri Swaminarayan Temple and we will end our tour by visiting a local mosque. Friday, February 5Interfaith Shabbat DinnerEast Town Hall, 6:00pm - 8:30pm The Guelph Jewish Students Organization is proud to invite you to this unique event which will cap off Faith Week 2010. Come share in a Jewish Shabbat meal, learn about the traditions, and hear from our very special guest speaker, Bernie Farber, President of the Canadian Jewish Congress. Bernie will be speaking on the topic of "Celebrating our differences or differentiating our celebrations: What works best for Canada?"
