FVC Listserv

What is it?

The listserv is our newsletter. It is our way of informing students about FVC meetings and activities. We've changed things a little this year; Now, only members can be on the listserv; they are automatically added when they give their email at the time of their membership purchase. It requires no work on your part. In the past we would allow anyone to sign up to the listserv, but this has resulted in many people using the clubs resources without contributing to the group. We want to continue to provide as many valuable experiences to our members as possible, with everyone contributing. It's only $10 for the entire year, ($5 if you rememebr your coupon!) and by paying it you ensure that our current activities can continue to be built upon. At the start of each September, we will be clearing the listserv of all email adresses and starting fresh. There will be a final 'notification' email letting you know that the list has been cleared. To be added for another year, simply purchase a membership. See below for instructions on how to delete yourself off of the listserv, should you wish too not recieve emails from the FVC.

How to Remove Yourself to the Listserv

Removing yourself from the listserv is quite straight forward and easy. Below are a series of instructions on how to remove yourself from the listserv. To unsubscribe from a list, send an e-mail message to listserv@listserv.uoguelph.ca with the following in the body of the message:SIGNOFF FUTURE-VETS-CLUB You must send the e-mail from the account you subscribed with! For example, if your listserv e-mails are sent to your uoguelph account you must unsubscribe from your uoguelph account but if they are sent to your hotmail account then you must unsubscribe from your hotmail account You do not need to include a subject to this e-mail Please delete any signatures that are automatically added to your e-mails as these may cause errors You will recieve an e-mail reply from the Listserv confirming that you have unsubscribed If you do not recieve an e-mail then it didn't work. Don't panic! This can be caused by a number of things with the main error being that the e-mail is blocked. Please visit the University of Guelph CCS page for more detailed instructions Please e-mail us as a last resort! Every year we recieve close to a 100 e-mails from people who cannot unsubscribe themselves because they do not follow these simple instructions! PLEASE do not reply to listserv e-mails! Do not hit the 'Reply' when you recieve an e-mail from futurevetsclub@listserv.uoguelph.ca. If you wish to contact a member of the FVC please e-mail fvc@uoguelph.ca. Any e-mail sent to the Listserv will be automatically deleted!
