Foal Watch is a program run by the Veterinary Teaching Hospital, located within the Ontario Veterinary College, and provides a service to clients who bring in premature and critically ill neonatal foals. As a volunteer, you would assist in the feeding/cleaning/monitoring of a foal.
The foalwatch program is a great way to gain experience with horses in a clinical environment! The General Information Meeting for the Foal Watch Program was Wednesday, November 16 at 5:00pm in room 1713 of the LLC.
The meetings are for those of you who would like to know more information about the program, and/or are interested in applying.
Rabies vaccinations are mandatory for any volunteering activities within the OVC.
If you have any more questions feel free to visit the foalwatch website, or email Danika Hawthorne, the Foalwatch Program coordinator, at dhawthor@uoguelph.ca .
