Xylobolus frustulatus Ceramic Fungus
Fruitbodies forming flat crusts up to 20 cm wide running along the surface of logs. Crusts are composed of irregular, tile-like segments that are dirty white to pinkish white or pale yellow-brown, ageing to greyish-brown. This unusual fungus is widely distributed but not common. It fruits on old, debarked, oak logs.
