Suillus granulatus Granular Dotted Bolete Caps are 2-13 cm across, smooth, slippery when wet, tan to cinnamon, and ageing white with brown stains. Flesh is yellowish, and doesn't stain. Tubes are white to dull yellow, not staining. Pores are 1 mm across, and irregular in shape. Stalks are up to 9 cm tall by 2.5 cm wide, white to yellowish, with tan-brown dots scattered over the upper half. Spore prints are yellow-brown. It fruits under conifers (mainly pines or spruce). Edible. |
