
Clavariadelphus ligula Strap-Shaped Coral
Fruitbodies are up to 7 cm tall by 3-12 mm wide, unbranched, salmon-buff to brownish, with a smooth or wrinkled surface. Clubs are often flattened (strap-like) but may be cylindrical and are sometimes spindle-shaped. This coral fungus is widespread and fairly common. It fruits on the ground in coniferous or mixed woods. Not edible.
