Ramaria stricta           Straight-Branched Coral

Fruitbodies are up to 8.5 cm tall by 20 cm wide, buff to ochre, erect, tightly-branched, toughish but not brittle, bruising vinaceous-brown, with a bitter taste. The spore print is yellowish. Widespread and common, this densely-branched coral fruits on well-rotted wood.
