Agaricus haemorrhoidarius Bleeding Agaricus Caps are 5-10 cm, dry, covered with red-brown scales or hairs, grey-brown, and convex becoming flat. Flesh is white, staining rapidly red. Gills are free, close, and pink to purple-brown. Stalks are up to 12 cm tall by 1.5 cm wide, smooth or slightly hairy, white becoming pinkish-tan. Ring is large, white, and persistent. Spore prints are purple-brown. It fruits on the ground in marshy woods. Edible. |
