Stropharia hornemannii Caps are 2-13 cm across , smooth, convex to flat, with cottony margin, brown to red-brown, and sometimes with a purplish tinge. Taste is unpleasant. Gills are attached, close, pale grey, becoming purple-brown. Stalks are up to 15 cm tall by 2 cm wide, white to yellow, and shaggy below ring. Ring is persistent, and white to brown. Spore prints are purple-brown. It fruits under conifers. Not edible. |
