Exidia glandulosa                      Black Jelly Fungus

Fruitbodies are olive-brown to black and form a series of cone-shaped, gelatinous bodies expanding with wetting to form an irregular coalescing mass in narrow rows up to 25 cm long. Widespread and not uncommon, it fruits on twigs and branches of hardwoods.
